Outdated code

Your usage of the winit crate is deprecated, so although the code will work on older versions of winit, it'd be nice if you guys updated the code.
Also, you're using rust 2015's extern crates.

The repo hasn't had a commit in ~4 years. I just wish they'd archive it if they don't plan on doing anything with it.
