Here's the UI I have in mind for remembering a file and listening to it for edits: /cc @hadi7546 |
I think it looks great! |
I think the button is enough, at least with a tooltip 🙂 |
How about creating a folder in a documents folder and storing custom texts on that? And display a list of files in it to the user? |
If you're going to do this, I think it's better to have a way to select a folder, and not a predefined folder in documents. |
That would require poking a hole in the sandbox, which I'd like to avoid. |
Problem:
I want to be able to read books while practicing, and update the custom texts more easily with an external program. But the way to input custom texts is currently very limited.
Solution:
The simplest and easiest solution I can think of is a way to import a text file as input for the custom text, so I don't have to copy and paste entire books that I want to read into the text box.
But the main reason is to have a way to modify the custom text externally, the solution would be to check the text file and update the text whenever you reset with "esc". In case a external program modifies the text file, you don't need to import it again or copy and paste the new text, just update it with "esc".
