Preview is not shown when hovering append menu

Describe the Bug

We have an append preview that works when hovering context pad entries, however it does not show when hovering append menu items:

The preview would be particularly useful in places such as bpmn-io/bpmn-js-create-append-anything#69, to signal that different operations would happen.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Hover over context pad task item ▶️ see append preview
2. Hover over task item in append anything menu ▶️ see no append preview

Expected Behavior

I expect the preview to also show when hovering over the append anything menu entry, to see the shape of the new element.

Environment

• Browser: Chrome 148
• OS: Linux (Ubuntu 24)
• Library version: v18.9.1

Given the current placement of the append menu, the preview would be covered anyway. Would you then place the append menu below the context pad, or do something else?

It likely will help with things like bpmn-io/bpmn-js-create-append-anything#69, hence I raised the issue. I'd not change the append menu position for the moment, but we could of course consider it.
