Here's the command line response after making a TeX file and I'm not sure why it was triggered. Do you guys have any idea why it happens? Your help is much appreciated.

My guess is that some style and configuration files use \vspace to do what they need to do... and that's fine.

Authors aren't supposed to use \vspace commands in their documents, to alter the template's formatting (either to override the template for some specific reason, or to attempt to pack more content into a fixed number of pages than is possible in the template's default formatting), and the documentation does tell authors not to do that.

The warnings are there to remind authors, again, that they aren't supposed to do that, and there isn't any way to exempt some uses of \vspace and not others.

It could be caused by other packages authors use, e.g. like listings in #522 ...
