Thank you for the feedback. I personally didn't think much of the name when the project started years ago. I wanted to include "Win" since it's Windows only, and also covers the gap that you mentioned. I live in Poland and Wino means "Wine" in Polish. Nothing related to it, but just some connection. Wino was never meant to be a professional product or some sort of a startup to be honest. It was a side project to fill the gap you mentioned. Eventually turned into a community project as the gap got bigger. Maybe in the future if I'd like to take things more professionally I can think of a better name and monetize it better. Selling the product was never a priority, but making it good has always been (and will) be top. |

I think Wino Mail is a fantastic email client. When Microsoft shut down Mail & Calendar, I was not really happy using the Outlook web wrapper. Your native app fills a huge void. It looks great. It performs well. It's elegant and simple to use and configure. But with due respect, I think you need to pick a better name. "Wino" in American English means "an indigent wine drinking alcoholic." I'll use your email app no matter what you call it, but I think it might attain broader adoption with a more marketable name. Please take this as constructive criticism.
