Bisq is by a long way the most difficult Application to Read I have ever seen

I've just done my first trade on Bisq, and I was pretty pleased with the mechanics, all worked as expected.
However, there is a big But.
The size of fonts and the colour scheme mena its all but impossible to see. I'll agree my sight is not excellent, but I use my computer everyday, and log on to work systems through citrix and I have never seen anything this bad.
Most apps allow you to choose colours and font sizes, but I understand to make that work reliably may be a lot of work. PLEASE, could we have one setting with bigger fonts and a more sensible colour scheme?

Dev effort are put on Bisq 2 which will replace Bisq 1 once Musig trade protocol is completed (hopefully in a few months).
Please try out Bisq 2 if that works better for you. Bisq is built with JavaFX and it has less strong support for automatic layout features as HTML frameworks to support changing font sizes and would be a major effort.

Thanks for taking the time to share this feedback — accessibility is a genuinely important concern and you're not alone in finding Bisq's UI challenging to read.
While native font/color customization isn't currently built into Bisq, there are a few workarounds that may help in the meantime:
OS-level scaling (recommended first step)

Windows: Settings → Display → Scale. Bumping to 125% or 150% will enlarge the entire Bisq UI proportionally.
macOS: System Settings → Displays → Resolution → Larger Text.
Linux: Depends on your DE, but most support display scaling via settings or xrandr.

High-contrast / accessibility themes
Most operating systems have built-in high-contrast modes that JavaFX-based apps like Bisq will partially respect. Worth trying if you haven't already.
JVM font scaling (advanced)
Since Bisq runs on JavaFX, you can pass a DPI override at launch:
bisq-desktop -Dglass.gtk.uiScale=1.5 # Linux
On Windows/macOS the equivalent is setting display scaling at the OS level, as JavaFX picks this up automatically.

That said, your core request — an in-app accessibility setting for font size and contrast — is a reasonable feature request. If you'd like this prioritized, opening a dedicated Feature Request issue (separate from this Q&A) with a clear description would give it better visibility with the maintainers and allow others to upvote it.

Dev effort is focussed on Bisq 2 MuSig protocol, which hopefully gets release in the next 3 months. Bisq 2 seems to not have those issues, at least I am not aware of any reports.
