What was the Problem?

When a podcast is playing in your ABS fork, the screensaver/sleep is not prevented. So after 10 minutes, the podcast just stops playing.

Steps to Reproduce the Issue

Play a podcast on a system where the "screensaver" is enabled.

What was Expected?

For the playback of media to prevent sleep, or for playback to continue while the screensaver is active.

All fixed. Latest release has fixes for this bug report as well as fixed regressions:

To make this work correctly across android TV versions I went with keeping the screen active during playback. Once audio pauses or closes for any reason, screensaver timer kicks in.

Give it a whirl and let me know if you see any issues.

I had the same problem with 0.12.? beta on amazon fire stick 4k.

Downloaded and tested 0.13.0-beta yesterday and it works fine now. Thanks for addressing this issue.

I am working on trying to get this version pulled into the core ABS mobile app so everyone can find it on the Android TV play store, eventually.

I have a bit of work to do to get the original app developer to accept my additions, which I'm hoping to crank out this weekend.

Every show of support for the TV version helps the core maintainer see it's a wanted addition.

The rest is on me to feed it to them in bite-sized chunks. I made the mistake of pushing the whole thing to them all at once, and this turned out to be too much for them to review, so I'm in the middle of breaking it down to make it easier for them to see the bits of code that matter, a little at a time.
