Add max date fix, if it's on next year

Currently the max date can be only in same year, but with this fix it can be in another year.

Any update on if this is still an issue or not @ThilinaTCH? I'm hoping to wrap up all of the open PRs over the next day or two if at all possible so I can tag 2.0
