Web push notifications are silent on Linux (Firefox/Zen Browser) – no sound played

Hi,
I'm running a self-hosted Campfire instance and receiving VAPID web push notifications in Zen Browser (Firefox-based) on Arch Linux.
The notifications appear visually, but no sound is played

Is this expected behavior? Do Campfire's push notifications include sound hints, or are they sent as silent by default?
If possible, could the service worker be updated to avoid silent: true or add any available audio cues?

The notifications aren't silent, it's up to the browser to give a hint to your notification daemon to play a sound.

As for playing a sound from the service worker, to my knowledge, that's not possible.
Best we could do is send a message from the service worker to the browser window to play a sound, which would only work if you have Campfire open.

I also run Zen on Arch all notifications, from many different sites, are silent for me.
That said, I saw that there are a few addons that allow you to add and customize the sound of notifications - though be aware that they are a bit privacy invasive.

I see, I also use web app based chat.google.com - but I am not quite sure how they have implemented the sound
Now I am using a bit different technique, I have connected my phone to the campfire via chrome and connected via headphone and I will get notified if something important happens. I have selectively enabled notifications so that my phone won't disturb me a lot
