Had a look at https://github.com/Zeus-Deus/gazelle-tui by @Zeus-Deus and it looks impressive. |

The UI ain’t intuitive; with all the sections highlighted / border-glowed, I can’t even tell which one I’m in. The selected background shade is so subtle that my eyes have to work overtime. Honestly, it’s way easier to just use nmcli than deal with this. Apart from the UI, I can’t delete or forget a network, and on top of that, it couldn’t connect to my Wi-Fi even once, and that’s a network I already added through nmcli. The TUI just keeps failing every time. And yeah, maybe I’m being unreasonable, but hey, it’s not even on the "rust-hype-train". |

Impala is nice but since it relies on iwd, I think a custom TUI, maybe written in Rust, that talks directly to the NetworkManager daemon or wraps around
nmcliwith support for adding hidden networks would be a huge upgrade. Right now that part feels kind of third-party. If DHH builds it in his signature aesthetic, it would fit perfectly with Omarchy’s vibe. Same for Bluetooth, a proper TUI would feel much more consistent than the current GTK-based menu.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
