That's not the matter. If they called OMARCHY is a distro , then I think they should llok at Fedora, did they they has bloats? and What about Spotify and also why basecamp web app???? |

I use most of the software that comes with Omarchy. I’ve started using some of the other tools as well. It’s an opinionated distro, and DHH uses this software himself. I don’t use Spotify or Basecamp, so I removed them, not a big deal. |

There are a million distros out there to choose from, and Arch itself is a completely blank canvas. So if having Spotify or Basecamp part of the default install offends your sensibilities, you are probably better off picking something else. Omarchy isn't changing on this point. |

I’m not hating on Omarchy, but it’s kind of true that it feels a bit bloated. For example, Omarchy includes Spotify, which is a proprietary application, and also the Basecamp web app, which seems more like a personal Hyprland setup.
If you’re creating something meant for the public, it’s better not to focus on including your personal apps first! @dhh but still thanks to dhh for creating this setup!
