UPDATE: I've made a repo of my solution described below for those of you who want it.
https://github.com/mrdrbrdr/advanced-brightness-control-omarchy
Hello community!
I’ve been experimenting with screen brightness (on my laptop) in Omarchy and noticed that the current steps (5%, 10%, 15%, 20% …) are sometimes still too bright in completely dark rooms.
I put together a tweak that allows brightness to scale logarithmically all the way down to 1/400 of max brightness. This gives a much smoother and more comfortable experience in low-light environments. For example:
This feels very natural and it is such a delight when working in a completely dark room!
I've never contributed to an open source project before, but I'd love to help out and give back!
Would this initiative be of interest to any of you? :)
