Source Auto-selection not working

I have 2 instances of Android Screen grabber app installed, one on the TV and the other on the Shield TV. I have set different 'message priority' for both (TV:160/Shield:180). However, HyperHDR doesn't seem to Auto switch to the one with the higher priority for some reason.

If for example, I turn on the TV with Shield off it turns on, but as soon as I switch on the Shield it doesn't switch to it, even tho it has higher priority. I have to manually go to Hyperhdr settings page a select the source.

I'm not sure if this is a bug, or how it is intended, but would appreciate help on this.
