I think we should remove support for IE 9 and 10 and also look for other code that can be removed by raising the supported browser versions.

IE9 is ok browser is dead, but with IE10 I was not so sure, there certainly still users must support the IE10.

The market share from StatCounter GlobalStats shows only 0.17% for IE 9 and 0.22% for IE 10, but 4.59% for IE 11. Is there any other reason than market share why users still want to support IE 10?

I raised the version numbers in 6605892.

The supported browsers for the next release are now:

  • Firefox 52+
  • Opera 48+
  • Chrome 49+
  • Internet Explorer 11
  • Edge 14+
  • Safari 9+
  • iOS 9+
  • Android 4.4+
  • UC Browser 11.4+
  • Samsung Internet 4+

UPDATE: Android stock browser got removed in favor of UC Browser and Samsung Internet.
