Can't install with https://github.com/r-hub/[r-minima](https://github.com/r-hub/r-minimal) and starting throwing errors
"consume_later.cpp:181:18: error: aggregate 'timeval tv' has incomplete type and cannot be defined" because of alpine timeval

It's possible this can be resolved by using #include <sys/time.h> rather than #include <time.h> here:

But it will require further testing to confirm this across the other platforms. Alpine is not a supported CRAN platform, so it seems unlikely that this will crop up for many users.
