Dragon mounts Classic bug

There's a bug where the dragon is completely invisible, I can hear the dragon but the mini map mod cannot even detect it and is completely invisible

What version are you playing on? I feel like noting that this version of Dragon Mounts is discontinued and has been since before DM2 was a thing, so I expect that any reported bugs won't be fixed. Dragon Mounts Classic is just a reupload of all existing versions of DM1 (Some of which previously might of been difficult for the average user to find) to give everyone an easy way to play the mod
It might be helpful if you were to inquire about bugs and issues inside of the Dragon Mounts Teams Discord. I suspect that support might be more active over there then here

Im playing on version 1.7.10 and its really the only version that had been passed down to this version. specifically the DM mod by tomanex on curse forge

If you mean DragonMounts-r41-1.7.10.jar then that's the last version of Dragon Mounts for 1.7.10 uploaded by BarracudaATA. There was only 3 versions in 1.7.10.
