==================================NBD==================================
QEMU supports NBD (Network Block Devices) both using TCP protocol as well as Unix Domain Sockets.
Syntax for specifying a NBD device using TCP "nbd:<server-ip>:<port>[:exportname=<export>]"
Example for TCP:
qemu-system-i386 --drive file=nbd:192.0.2.1:30000
Syntax for specifying a NBD device using Unix Domain Sockets "nbd:unix:<domain-socket>[:exportname=<export>]"
Example for Unix Domain Sockets:
qemu-system-i386 --drive file=nbd:unix:/tmp/nbd-socket
(qemu) ? nbd_server_add
nbd_server_add nbd_server_add [-w] device -- export a block device via NBD
(qemu) ? nbd_server_start
nbd_server_start nbd_server_start [-a] [-w] host:port -- serve block devices on the given host and port
(qemu) ? nbd_server_stop
nbd_server_stop nbd_server_stop -- stop serving block devices using the NBD protocol
