Native filters selecting automatically

I have two filters in my project which is names as Country and region, country filter is parent filter of region filter and both are dependent on each other.
when i select any 2 countries and select any one corresponding region, when i deselect the region filter options then all of my country filter options are getting selected without any user selection.

can we have any approach where this behavior can be stopped ?

This behavior happens because, by default, when you clear a child filter (like Region), the parent filter (Country) is interpreted as "no filter," which means all options are shown—even though it looks like all are selected, they're actually just not restricted. To avoid this, configure your filters with enableEmptyFilter set to true and defaultToFirstItem set to false. This way, clearing a filter will result in a truly empty state (no results), not an "all selected" state. You can adjust these settings in the filter configuration modal for each filter. I don't have any enableEmptyFilter option in filter option of superset4.1.1 version.

You're right—Superset 4.1.1 does not expose the enableEmptyFilter option in the native filter configuration UI, even though it's supported in the underlying configuration model. If you want to change this behavior, you can manually edit your dashboard's JSON metadata to add "enableEmptyFilter": true to the relevant filter's controlValues. This will prevent the parent filter from auto-selecting all options when the child filter is cleared, resulting in a truly empty filter state instead of "all selected" reference.

To do this: export your dashboard as JSON, locate the native_filter_configuration section, and add or update "enableEmptyFilter": true for your filters. Then re-import the dashboard. There is no UI-based workaround for this in 4.1.1, but this metadata edit is effective and supported by the codebase reference.
