Provider in datepicker and datepickerPopup?

Why didn't implement the provider in datepicker and datepickerPopup to set needed default options? It will be much easier than to specify the same attributes in all elements

There are global constants that can be overridden through usage of $provide.value - perhaps these can be better documented, but see here for the datepicker config and here for the popup config.

Yes, that can be overriden, but only completely, not partially.

If need to override partially, need to use angular.extend, angular.merge etc.

Something like:

app.config(['$provide', 'uibDatepickerConfig', 'uibDatepickerPopupConfig',
    function ($provide, uibDatepickerConfig, uibDatepickerPopupConfig) {

        $provide.constant(
            'uibDatepickerConfig',
            angular.extend(
                uibDatepickerConfig,

                    showWeeks: false,

        $provide.constant(
            'uibDatepickerPopupConfig',

There is $provide.decorator for that I believe.

Hm, then your best bet is to use something like $provide.value. It may require duplication, but that is a trivial cost here.

Is there a documentation bug that uibDatepickerConfig and uibDatepickerPopupConfig are not written up as options for configuring uib-datepicker and uib-datepicker-popup, respectively? Or is that method of configuring them deprecated in favor of using only the datepicker-options attribute? It seems like I'm able to effect their behavior by configuring them on my module like so:

.config(["uibDatepickerConfig", "uibDatepickerPopupConfig", function (uibDatepickerConfig, uibDatepickerPopupConfig) { uibDatepickerConfig.showWeeks = false; uibDatepickerPopupConfig.appendToBody = true; }])

But perhaps that's not intended any longer?
