popup window not letting me leave

Explain the issue

Sometimes the popup window gets left behind. And I get the following when I press :qa

E37: No write since last change
E162: No write since last change for buffer "[No Name]"

1. NVIM v0.11.6 with treesitter
2. Can't figure out a minimal example or reproduce it consistantly myself. It just happens occasionally.
3. The popup window should be a buftype=nofile
4. It is not, in some cases?
