Installation failed

In Ubuntu (VS CODE)
After installing when i type Hi

it says:
Install Claude Code
The CLI is required to use this extension

then i recieve this error after clicking on install claude code
Installation failed
sh: 9: Syntax error: "(" unexpected (expecting "then")

Please fix it

Having the same issue. Just subscribed, wanted to try this extension vs claude sidebar. When opened, it immediately prompts "install claude cli" and then throws the following error.
