in /hello?firstname=&lastname=Coene, firstname is parsed as NA (it's not dropped).

But that looks correct to me, I'm not sure it should be dropped. (maybe I misunderstand)

yes, yes. it's 100% correct. i just mean to slot it somewhere in the docs so that users aren't caught by surprise.
