Discussion: i18n / multi-language support (need & scope)

Following the feedback on my recent PR introducing multi-language (i18n) support, I’m opening this issue to discuss the need and scope of i18n before moving forward.

As mentioned in the CONTRIBUTING.md, larger or architectural changes should be discussed first to ensure they align with the project’s direction.
