Sniffing UDP packets when phy is used by PS

Hi,
I have a Zynq70xx application where the PS uses 1G ethernet via EMIO interface. Is it possible to insert this verilog-ethernet core into the PL so that it only sniffes some udp packets (in read only mode) and does not disturb the PS MAC using the ethernet phy at all?

it works! If 1g phy is routed via emio on zynq devices this ethernet core can be used.
