To set an environment variable, you'll want to add a line to your shell configuration file, usually just before calling zoxide init. The full list of variables is defined here.
For example, to set a variable _ZO_ECHO to 1:
-
On
bash:export _ZO_ECHO='1'
-
On
elvish:set E:_ZO_ECHO = '1'
-
On
fish:set -x _ZO_ECHO '1'
-
On
nushell:[env] _ZO_ECHO = "1"
-
On
powershell:$env:_ZO_ECHO = '1'
-
On
xonsh:$_ZO_ECHO = '1'
-
On
zsh:export _ZO_ECHO='1'
-
On any other POSIX shell:
export _ZO_ECHO='1'
