HTML/DIV stripped on Gmail send #972

Description

When sending from an enterprise/university gmail account, the markdown rendering goes away after being sent. When looking at the original message, the html/div seems to have been stripped. Sending rendered content from a personal gmail seems unaffected. I'm not positive is this is a bug or "feature" due to some configuration at the enterprise level.

Environment

Test on firefox and google chrome.

Firefox

  • Browser: Zen Browser 1.18.10b (Firefox 147.0.4) (aarch64)
  • Markdown-here extension version: 2.16.0

Google Chrome

  • Browser: Chrome Version 145.0.7632.110 (Official Build) (arm64)
  • Markdown-here extension version: 2.16.0

Video

markdown-here_720.mov

shows rendering from university gmail, undone upon send, switching to personal account, rendering stays after send.
