Brief Description of Changes

We would like to report an issue we noticed regarding PDF links on the ACL Anthology website.

Specifically, for our EMNLP 2025 paper listed at
https://aclanthology.org/2025.emnlp-main.83/
the PDF link currently points to a different paper—an industry track paper with the same paper number—rather than the correct main-conference PDF.

After checking further, we found that this issue does not appear to be isolated. Several other papers also seem to have incorrect or mismatched PDF links, where the linked PDF does not correspond to the metadata shown on the page.

I'm experiencing the same issue with my paper 2025.emnlp-main.79. The PDF link points to an industry track paper instead of the correct main conference paper (the metadata is correct, but the PDF is wrong).

Looks like a widespread problem—https://aclanthology.org/2025.emnlp-industry.1.pdf was also mistakenly uploaded as https://aclanthology.org/2025.emnlp-main.1.pdf, etc. @mjpost

Oh drat, I realize what happened.

I had to re-ingest EMNLP industry papers a few days ago, but the data was incorrectly submitted with "main" as the volume name. I fixed the ingestion but forgot to remove the files before syncing.

A fix here would have to have a "staging" area where instead of syncing files directly they are put on the server and only copied into place if the checksums match.

This is actually what #1849 was trying to do but I have not followed through with it.
