Follow button in mobile site is not working correctly in dark theme

Describe the bug
Follow button in mobile site is not working correctly in dark site theme (i.e., when I set "site_theme: dark" in _config.yml).

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Clone https://academicpages.github.io into https://xxx.github.io and change "site_theme: dark" in _config.yml
2. Go to 'https://xxx.github.io' on mobile/smartphone
3. Click on 'Follow'
4. The dropdown menu is white and doesn't show any links

Expected behavior
Expected to see all the links and icons rendered correctly in dark mode. The reason is that the follow button text and icons are white in color in dark mode, but the dropdown box is also white in color instead of being dark.
