Page not accessible via some WiFi networks

I have been adapting the academic template for my own academic website. From yesterday, I get an error along the lines "Security error" or "Connection not private" each time I try to access it via my University's Wifi or eduroam, but It works fine if I use my mobile network.

I thought it could have to do with my instituition network blocking sites of the form github.io, but I can access other sites of this form, so maybe I messed up at some point of my modification of the template. Any ideas of what could cause this? Is it fixable?

Anything on *.github.io should have HTTPS by default so it could have been something transient with the digital certificate, or a network configuration. If other *.github.io sites don't load I'd try reaching out to the network administrators to let them know.
