Description
Tested version: ytDownloader 3.19.3 (Windows)
Description
When downloading videos with multiple audio tracks, the selected audio option in the app (No audio or Original) does not seem to have any effect.
The resulting file always contains a specific dubbed audio track, regardless of the selected option.
Steps to Reproduce
-
Open ytDownloader 3.19.3 on Windows.
-
Try downloading this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcFKdG6P_ww
-
The video contains two audio tracks:
- Original (Russian)
- Dubbed (English US, default)
-
-
In the app, choose either:
No audio, orOriginal
-
Start the download.
Expected Behavior
The downloaded file should:
- Contain no audio when
No audiois selected. - Contain the original Russian audio track when
Originalis selected.
Actual Behavior
Regardless of the selected option, the resulting file always includes the English dubbed track (default).
Additional Example
When testing another video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjPH9njnaVU
I get the Russian audio track instead of the expected **original (Us) default ** one.
I’m providing this as an example that the selected track is not the one marked as default, but is chosen according to some other principle.
Notes / Hypothesis
It seems the application might always pick the first available audio stream in the metadata, rather than honoring the user’s choice.
This could be related to a recent YouTube API or format change affecting track order or labeling.
