Instead of making the Goods themselves Movables, add new Transporter Movables that the Player must recruit in the Cities and Villages that will move to the Farms and Improvements to pick up Food and Goods, deliver it to the nearest City, Village, or wherever else it is needed, and then continue to the next Farm or Improvement that needs them.

  • Start with a simple Mule Transporter, fast, cheap, has a capacity of only 1 Goods.
  • Add an Ox Cart Transporter, slow and expensive, but a larger carrying capacity.
  • Instead of deadhead returns, perhaps allow the returning Transporters to carry some sort of "tools" or "supplies" to give the Improvement a temporary boost in efficiency.
