Improving Indexes

This handbook, handbook/pathways, and each sub-folder all need an index page. Otherwise now if someone clicks into "Build" or "Design" they'd see nothing. Instead, for now, they get a manually-maintained index page that works but isn't great.

First priority:

• Every pathway needs a small guide page. We'll be linking directly to these more often than not.

Then for the indexes, our goals are:

• Looks good — not just a raw list of links
• Easier to maintain — it would be nice if new guides could be auto added somehow, instead of having to be manually maintained.

Some options I can think of:

• Manually maintained markdown What we have now (easy to start, trickier to maintain, and I want it to look better)
• Custom block that reads child pages and renders some kind of listing
• Something in between — a script that generates the index markdown on build

And again, for now the priority is adding guides, not perfecting indexes. But I want to start the conversation so we have a direction when we're ready to build it.
