AI 0.6 + WP7RC1 + Gutenberg 22.7.1 : can't keep connection alive within the AI plugin

Description

• The connectors are correctly set in ./wp-admin/options-general.php?page=ai (th API Key is green checked)
• In the AI Plugin, there an error, despite the Gemini connector is ok wp-admin/options-general.php?page=ai

Is Gutenberg 22.7.1 the culprit ?
Or is the plugin not yet compatible with Gemini 3.1 ? (i use a paid gemini subscription plan)

Step-by-step reproduction instructions

1. set your API Credentials
2. activate the AI Plugin 0.6, activate the Image generation
3. observe the red notice on top of the page
4. go to a post, generate an image : there is an red error notice, that deals with text_generation, despite it is related to image

Also running into this issue, with both Google and Anthropic providers enabled and with Gutenberg 22.7 installed. I tried deactivating Gutenberg, no effect.

Curious which version of the AI Provider for Google plugin you're both using? The error message shown on the AI plugin settings page will show if you have an AI connector set up but we can't make a text generation request to that AI provider. Similarly, the error message you're seeing when trying to use a feature (No models found that support text_generation) is the same check though that comes from the AI Client itself, not this plugin.

Seems like probably a bug in the AI Provider plugin, not this plugin. May need an update to support the latest Gemini models? cc / @felixarntz

Okay, odd. Testing on a remote server instead of local, no issues here.
