On Taking Stock Episode 48 Bur Capital suggested adding a way to filter out companies by industry. This process can be automated using a Python script. As far as options for pulling this data, here are some that come up after a quick search:

  • NAICS
  • SIC
  • OpenFIGI
  • ISIC
