Hello! I've been using Trilium alot and realized its been really hard to find my daily journal notes within each date because web clips or things I organize by date all get thrown in to the daily and the widget open daily todays journal note just goes to the date. Is there a way to make a separate the daily journal and daily notes with webclips and specific notes for other specific things for that date into 2 different buttons 1 for the journal and 1 for everything else from that date?

Trilium doesn't have a built-in feature to separate daily journal notes from other daily notes (like web clippings) into two distinct buttons or views. By default, all notes for a given date are grouped under a single "day note" workspace, which can get cluttered with different types of entries wiki: Day notes.

However, Trilium is highly customizable. You can use note types, tags, and scripts to organize and filter your notes. For example, you could tag journal entries with #journal and web clippings with #webclip, then create custom widgets or scripts to display only journal notes or only web clippings for a given date Patterns of personal knowledge base. The scripting API allows you to filter notes by type and date, and demo scripts exist for journal and web clipper notes, so it's possible to create two separate buttons or menu entries—one for opening the daily journal note, and one for opening/filtering other notes for that date feature request: calendar duplication & buttons.

If you want to go further, you can look into workspaces (using #workspaceCalendarRoot), cloning notes, and scripting to automate this separation. The documentation and codebase provide examples and hooks for these kinds of customizations feature request: date label linking.
