Spacebar not responding

First off, I love Trillium - exactly what I saw in my head before finding it!

Test running it today, but the strangest thing, when I type a note my spacebar is ignored. Obviously, from this message, my spacebar works, but in Trillium it doesn't.

Just downloaded the latest version 0.99.0 for Win11

Anyone else experienced this?

Spacebar (and other keyboard input) issues in Trilium are sometimes caused by CKEditor bugs, keyboard layout quirks, or accidental single-key shortcuts. This isn't a widespread problem, but similar cases have been reported—often resolved by updating Trilium to the latest version, which recently received several CKEditor upgrades that fix input bugs, including space handling in lists and general editor stability (example).

A few things to check:

• Make sure you're on the latest Trilium version.
• Try switching your keyboard layout to standard US if you're using something like US-International, as that can interfere with certain keys (example).
• Check for accidental single-key shortcuts: open the Trilium menu, go to "Configure Launchbar," and see if any shortcuts are set to just the spacebar—if so, remove them and refresh the UI.
• If you're using the desktop app, try the web version in your browser to see if the issue persists (sometimes Electron-specific bugs affect only the desktop app).
• If you use an input method editor (IME) or special language input, try disabling it to see if that helps.

Downloaded and tested v0.98.0 and space works fine. This is a 0.99.0 introduced bug.

This is a confirmed regression in v0.99.0, most likely caused by the upgrade to CKEditor 47.0.0, which affects keyboard input handling on Windows 11. No Trilium-specific shortcuts or configuration are blocking the spacebar, and the issue doesn't appear in v0.98.0. There’s no official workaround yet, but downgrading to v0.98.0 will restore spacebar functionality until a fix is released.
