The IPv8 overlay keeps track of the number of incoming/outgoing bytes. We usually report the total bandwidth usage per peer at the end of the experiment. However, it might also be useful to show the evolution of bandwidth, e.g., periodically report the bandwidth usage metrics. These metrics can then be used to create a plot, showing the cumulative bandwidth usage throughout the experiment.
