Adopt WebAuthn (guide, MDN docs) Passkeys for authentication once cross-browser Passkeys are widespread. There doesn't seem to be a huge benefit to doing so before then.
(Worth noting that the core WebAuthn APIs are available in all major browsers already as of 2022, and 93% of all people can use it. But while the APIs exist broadly, they aren't usable by everyone—say, Travis's home PC running Firefox with no hardware authenticator. Probably still many years until it could be used as the only authentication method.)
