Having trailing slash when specifying the hostname means tgcli doesn't work

if you include the trailing slash when specifying the hostname, tgcli doesn't work (and doesn't produce any error message)

e.g. 

https://some-poc.i.tgcloud.io/

can this be catered for (e.g. with error message when they enter the host with an incorrect format)?
