Let's face it, entropy is the default in the workplace, particularly in companies that trade on the stock exchange (unless the executive team is wise).
That's why WaterScrumFall is prevalent, leading to reduced quality and morale at best, and, at worst, negative chaos and people checking out. Short-term thinking is what much of the world tends toward, even as the expansion pack steers toward ambidexterity, balancing the short-term and the long-term.
With entropy in mind, let's consider the wording for the text in the guide, including 'Supporter,' which could be weaponized to an unintended (typically) short-term thinking non-Scrum role, such as delivery manager, a short-term-style project management office, or even short-term-style product managers.
Vacuums get filled, but let's ensure vacuums get filled coherently with adaptiveness, timeliness, humane effectiveness, and effectiveness at the lowest costs in mind.
Suggestions for how the expansion pack could be weaponized or abused as an excuse for short-term-style behavior are welcome. Thank you.
