SEB 3.6.1 - Click on a new window popup in moodle and it brings up the Quit SEB process

Configuration:
SEB template at site admin level templates.
Quiz set to use template.
Launch SEB used by student.
Login to OKTA and authenticate.
Click on our Join supervisor (Button) which opens a new window.
SEB shows the "Quit Safe Exam Browser" (Are you sure you want to quit Safe Exam Brower?) Cancel or Quit.
Quit action: closes SEB entirely.
Cancel action: actually forces the new window open and proceeds to access the new window page.
When doing the same procedure in SEB for windows there is no Quit SEB action taken.

Is this because SEB for mac tries to incorporate the button into a new tab (Safari behaviour) which it does outside of SEB but within SEB crashes on mac somehow and it wants to exit? Or is it forcing the Exit button declaration link to be used even though that is empty on the template.

Yes, I need log files and used SEB config (you can remove passwords, save it as plain text or use some PW you can tell me). Also a video would be helpful, I didn't get what exactly is happening.

What is the quitURL in your settings? Likely that is invoked by the web application and that's why SEB wants to quit. Is the configuration SEB is using at that moment having a quit password set? If yes and the confirm quit dialog is displayed (not asking for the quit password), then it definitely is the quitURL. Note that the Mac/iOS versions require the quitURL to be a properly formatted URL, while the Windows version accepts any arbitrary string.

There is no quit link specified and no quit password set. The open pw is test123 and admin pw is test123

Then the web app likely tries to close the original browser window when opening a new one, which SEB doesn't allow, as the window where the startURL is opened is considered the main window with the exam, closing it quits SEB. But I thought SEB would refuse closing the main window silently, without showing the quit dialog. Will look at the logs.

BTW. please start testing with SEB 3.7 asap. 3.6.1 has many security vulnerabilities and will be removed from downloads soon after the 3.7 release.

The issue should be solved in SEB 3.7b2, please test it.
