CPU spikes when scrolling through a PDF file in 1.7.6

When I was scrolling through a pdf file with this plugin enabled in Obsidian version 1.7.6, there were CPU usage spikes that cause Obsidian to be extremely slow. I think somehow scrolling through the PDF file triggers some actions of this plugin. There was no issue in Obsidian version 1.6.7.

To reproduce the issue, you can open the following two files side by side in obsidian 1.7.6 with only this plugin and dependent plugins installed and scroll up and down in the pdf file.
