Convergio is built to help solopreneurs grow. The code is open for everyone
to read, learn from, and use. We believe in trust, not paywalls.

If Convergio helps you, we ask one thing: **help someone who needs it**.

## You can

- **Use** Convergio for any personal, educational, or commercial purpose,
  subject to the restrictions below.
- **Read, study, and learn** from the source code.
- **Modify** the code for your own use.
- **Contribute** improvements back to the project.
- **Fork and redistribute** Convergio — modified or unmodified — as long
  as this license stays attached in its entirety and all its terms
  (including restrictions and donation request) remain unchanged.

## We ask

If you use Convergio and it brings value to your work or your business,
consider making a donation to **FightTheStroke Foundation**
(fightthestroke.org) — a non-profit that supports children and families
affected by pediatric stroke and cerebral palsy.

This is not a legal obligation. It's an invitation. We trust you.

Donations are entirely voluntary and do not create any contractual
relationship, entitlement to support, warranty, or any other obligation
beyond those stated in this license. A donation does not constitute
payment for the software and does not modify the terms of this license
in any way. Donations are made directly to FightTheStroke Foundation.
Roberto D'Angelo and the Convergio project do not receive, manage, or
benefit financially from these donations.

## Always free for

- **Students** (anyone currently enrolled in a recognized educational
  institution) — no questions asked.
- **People with disabilities** — no questions asked.
- **Non-profit organizations** (any organization recognized as non-profit
  or charitable under the laws of its jurisdiction) — no questions asked.

No registration, no proof, no paperwork. We trust you.

## You cannot

- **Sell** Convergio as a product, or as part of a product where Convergio
  provides a substantial portion of the product's functionality.
- **Host** Convergio as a managed, hosted, or "as-a-service" offering for
  external third parties — meaning you may not provide Convergio's features
  to others over a network as a commercial service. Using Convergio
  internally within your own organization is permitted.
- **Remove** this license or copyright notice from the code.
- **Claim** Convergio as your own work.

## Legal Terms

The following terms are legally binding. In case of conflict between the
"In plain words" sections above and these Legal Terms, the Legal Terms
prevail.

### Definitions

- **"Software"** means the Convergio source code, documentation, and any
  associated files distributed under this license.
- **"Licensor"** means Roberto D'Angelo.
- **"You" / "Licensee"** means the individual or entity exercising rights
  under this license.
- **"Managed Service"** means making the Software available to external
  third parties as a hosted, managed, or software-as-a-service offering
  where the service provides users with access to any substantial set of
  the features or functionality of the Software.

### Grant of rights

Subject to the terms of this license, the Licensor grants You a
non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, non-transferable, non-sublicensable
license to use, copy, modify, and redistribute the Software, in original
or modified form, subject to the restrictions stated herein. Any
redistribution — whether of the original or a modified version — must
include this license in its entirety, unmodified.

### Restrictions

You may not:
1. Provide the Software as a Managed Service.
2. Sell, distribute, or sublicense the Software, or any derivative work,
   as a standalone product or as part of a product where the Software
   provides a substantial portion of the product's value or functionality.
3. Remove, alter, or obscure any licensing, copyright, or other notices
   from the Software.
4. Circumvent any technical measures that enforce the terms of this license.

### Termination

This license is effective until terminated. Your rights under this license
terminate automatically if You breach any of its terms. Upon You becoming
aware of a breach, or upon receiving written notice of a breach from the
Licensor, You have **30 days to cure the breach**. If the breach is
cured within 30 days and it is Your first breach, the license is
reinstated. If the breach is not cured within 30 days, or if it is a
repeated breach, all rights granted under this license terminate
permanently.

Upon termination, You must cease all use and distribution of the Software
and destroy all copies in Your possession.

### No warranty

**THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS
OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY,
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ABSENCE OF DEFECTS.
THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO THE QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE OF THE SOFTWARE IS WITH
YOU.**

**The Software is not designed, intended, or authorized for use in
safety-critical systems, including but not limited to medical devices, life
support systems, autonomous vehicles, nuclear facilities, air traffic
control, or weapons systems.**

### Limitation of liability

**IN NO EVENT SHALL THE LICENSOR, CONTRIBUTORS, COPYRIGHT HOLDERS, OR ANY
ASSOCIATED ORGANIZATIONS (INCLUDING FIGHTTHESTROKE FOUNDATION) BE LIABLE
FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, CONSEQUENTIAL,
OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA,
BUSINESS, GOODWILL, OR ANTICIPATED SAVINGS — ARISING OUT OF OR IN
CONNECTION WITH THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE, HOWEVER CAUSED
AND UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING
NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE
POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.**

**IN ANY CASE, THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF THE LICENSOR SHALL NOT EXCEED THE
AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU FOR THE SOFTWARE (WHICH, UNDER THE TERMS OF
THIS LICENSE, IS ZERO).**

### FightTheStroke Foundation — independence

FightTheStroke Foundation is **not a party to this license** and has no
obligations under it. The Foundation does not develop, maintain, support,
endorse, or assume any responsibility for the Software. Any donation made
to the Foundation is a separate, independent, voluntary act and does not
create any relationship between the donor and the Licensor.

### Contributions

By contributing to the Software (submitting pull requests, patches, or
other modifications), You agree that Your contributions are submitted under
the terms of this license and that You grant the Licensor a perpetual,
worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify,
and distribute Your contributions as part of the Software (Contributor License Grant).

### Severability

If any provision of this license is held to be invalid, illegal, or
unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and
effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent
necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original
intent.

### Governing law and dispute resolution

This license is governed by the laws of Italy.

In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to first attempt resolution
through good-faith mediation. If mediation fails within 60 days, disputes
shall be resolved in the courts of Milan, Italy (Sezione Specializzata in
materia di Impresa), without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection
rules of the Licensee's jurisdiction where applicable.

Proceedings may be conducted in Italian or English.

FightTheStroke Foundation was founded by Francesca Fedeli and Roberto
D'Angelo after their son Mario experienced a stroke at birth. The
foundation supports children with cerebral palsy and their families
through innovative rehabilitation, advocacy, and inclusion programs.

as defined by the Open Source Initiative (OSI). The source code is public
and readable, but commercial redistribution and hosted services require
