Feature Request: Option to Select Website for Latest Release Downloads

I would like to request a new feature:
Could you please add an option that allows users to select which website to use for obtaining the latest release? This would make it possible to download the latest version from GitHub mirror sites, which can be very helpful for users with limited access to GitHub's official servers.

There is a hash check, but the hashes come from the same origin. So if you could override the URL, you could basically allow to download anything, then be launched with escalated privileges.

I am located in mainland china. Although I can access GitHub the download speed is extremely slow. I am thinking is it possible if hash information for update is always fetched from the official source but the main application files can be downloaded from a mirror site.

You could use the host file (C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc) to create an automatic redirect for github requests to your mirror site at a system level, if the speeds are painfully slow anyway.
