Hello, sorry to bother you, but i'm confuse about the paper there
image
and i don't understand what the j represent. The level? And whether the J=log2(m)?
I would appreciate it if you could tell me which part of your code is about DWT and soft thresholds!Because it's really important to me,i can't get in touch with the original author, you're the last person who can help me on my way to reproducing the code.
Wish you all the best for 2024!!!

Oh,btw,the paper is:
X. Zong, A.F. Laine, E.A. Geiser, Speckle reduction and contrast enhancement
of echocardiograms via multiscale nonlinear processing, IEEE Transactions on
Medical Imaging 17 (4) (1998) 532–540.

Hi, I think it's the index defined in the "where" part of Eq (1)? The text underneath states that it's the index of the "level," which makes sense since it means each level in the hierarchy gets its unique threshold. Though I think the Zong filter is a little bit outdated. 😅
