In order to send emails, we need a provider to do so. Given that we already have an AWS account, Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) seems like the best choice.

In order to use it to start sending emails, we need to configure it. There's a guide to doing so https://aws.amazon.com/getting-started/hands-on/send-an-email/.

Criteria

  • AWS SES is configured on the carpal SES account
  • AWS SES has the carpal.org.au domain configured
  • It's possible to send an email from a carpal.org.au address via the AWS command line
