@Mr-Jack-Tung Thank you for your feedback, and we apologize for the confusion. The issue stemmed from an outdated document. Currently, Qwen Code does not support reading PDFs directly (this feature is planned for a future update). As a workaround, you can try using this Skill: #708 (comment)

Currently looking at packages/core/src/tools/read-file.ts, it reads files as text/binary but doesn't have PDF parsing built-in. PDF extraction is tricky because many PDFs are image-based or have complex formatting.

As a workaround, you could try using a PDF-to-text converter tool first, or use an MCP server that has PDF parsing capabilities. There might be a community MCP server for document processing that could help.
