Goal:

  • Fix issues found in WSC L2 beta testnet & prepare for mainnet launch

Updates:

  1. investigate about general upgrade process: https://discord.com/channels/1244729134312198194/1338604081639592089/1341705243725135873
    1. conclusion: There're no breaking change in the contracts for this upgrade so we only need to upgrade the binary. EL snapsync already OK, CL sync should be OK too, progress: 1884031/2663680.
  2. Upgrade beta:
    1. Merge beta op-geth#6
    2. Merge beta optimism#7
    3. upgrade absolute prestate for beta #2
  3. peer review

TODO:

  1. After CL sync is done, apply the upgrade of the binary and absolute prestate for beta.
  2. investigate the new Kurtosis devnet.
  3. read more about op-challenger
