Catalog of currently published Cookbooks that need maintenance

As a pre-hackathon sweep, I'm going through all cookbooks that currently appear in the gallery and making note of the problems I can find. Tagging with the relevant repo-specific issues where possible.

• CMIP6 Cookbook
  • Nightly build is failing (Examples with secrets not executing cmip6-cookbook#48)
  • Nonsensical global averages in the plot in one notebook (Odd units in temperature plot cmip6-cookbook#53)
• Gridding Cookbook
  • xESMF demo notebook errors out at package import (Broken code in xESMF notebook gridding-cookbook#16)
  • Despite the exception in the notebook, the build is still passing and the broken notebook is getting published.
    • expected behavior: build should report failure, and new html with broken notebook should not get published
• xbatcher for Machine Learning cookbook:
  • Broken data access in intro notebook (Cookbook currently not building xbatcher-ML-1-cookbook#5)
  • As in the Gridding Cookbook, nightly builds are reporting "passed" despite exceptions in the notebook
