Month view in IE9 displays incorrectly

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load a calendar in month view using IE 9 (possibly other versions of IE as 
well.

What is the expected output? 
Correctly sized day cells and correct vertical content alignment within cells.

What do you see instead?
The first row of days is squished (about half the height it should be), and the 
vertical alignment of contents in other rows is off.  


What version of the product are you using? 
0.9.4, also tried with trunk.

On what operating system?
Windows 7


Please provide any additional information below.
Screenshot attached.  Incidentally, the demo does not suffer from this problem, 
though I don't have the source for the demo.  I used the Google theme, though I 
suspect the theme is irrelevant.
